Hi,
Im currently at 208 in pottery and just wondered how much, roughly, it would cost me to get to 250 in the skill, and what to make to get the skill ups.

Made about 450 combines last night and went from 217 to 234. From 217 to 222 I was making Opal Encrusted Steins, from 223 to 234 I made Star Ruby Encrusted Steins. Total came to roughly 30k. When I did combines I had 290 wis. From 208 to 250 I'd guess around 50k.

If money is an issue you could make crucibles of escape. They trivial at 236 and they are a lot cheaper than anything else you can make to that skill level if you don’t fire them. The catch, and there always is one, is that you have to farm the heavy clay you’ll need. These drop off the muddites in The Gorge of King Xorbb. The zone is listed as having monster levels from 8 to 30, so how difficult they’ll be to farm is dependent upon your level. The last time I did this I would get about 10 to 15 clay per hour.

some extra helpful thoughts are here on this thread. I stand by my comment of the last time. The net cost is nothing if you sell all your Opal Steins, Star Ruby Steins and Golden Idol of Tunare. I made profit as I leveled up!

If you do sell, I suggest making Golden Idol in about equal numbers to SRES after 222 until 242. That's because the market is driven by earring of Solstice, and each earring needs one of each. Also, the trivial is much lower on idols, so you will succeed more. Even above 242, I kept making Idols, for the plat and also it seemed to help me move the SRES. Of course you need to check the market on your server before you go crazy!
