Golden Idol of tunare

Not sure if this is the right place to post yhis but I am trivial on Golden Idol of tunare without geerlock at 231 pottery. Recipie says 242

Would that be when you make the idol on the wheel or when you fire it?

Making idol on the wheel = 148.

Firing = not documented, but it is much lower.

The trivial on the Idol is not 148 on the wheel it is:

Unfired Golden Idol of Tunare= 1 Gold Bar+ 1 Idol Sketch + 1 enchanted block of clay + 1 water + 1 Celestial Essence + Sculpting Tools + 1 Vial of Distilled Mana + 1 Imbued Emerald (pottery wheel, pottery trivial 242)

You are correct, I should read what I type. I actually meant to type 248, which would have been incorrect, but would be in the ballpark.

The triv for the wheel is much higher than the firing, like all pottery.

The latest patch messes up trivials sometimes, but seems to do it at random. If you're doing items just for skill-ups, I wouldn't advise it unless you keep a very close eye on all your combines. I tend to get in a rhythm where I don't really watch for trivial messages, myself.

On star ruby encrusted steins last night, I did a run of dozens of them last night. They trivial past 250. I am at 246 skill, and got the message that I could not raise my skill on them anymore. Another guy who was also using the same forge I was told me that he was getting the no skill-up possible message on the star ruby encrusted steins HE was making. Two guys at the same forge at the same time getting the same cannot increase your skill message. Pretty definitive confirmation that it wasn't just me.

In smithing, I noticed the same thing, but even on the same item it wasn't consistent. Doing shadowscream boots and gorgets(228 and 248 triv), I sometimes got the "you can no longer increase your skill" message with my level 193 skill. This over the course of two days and much logging in and out and crashing.

Once I started getting a message, though, it never reverted back. I had to log out to reset it. But...it sometimes did reset! From one day to the next though, I was finding the boots first doable for skill ups, then not.

My experience is that it's hard for people to believe it's happening when you tell them, but don't worry about that. Worry about wasting your skill-ups. Watch those combines! And come back another day.

Follow up to starting this thread.

I have been back & double checked my results and it seems I was wrong. I must have been looking at the kiln results not wheel. I am now 234 and still getting skill ups on the idol so 242 triv is probably right.
