  • PoP items. Desirability, component availability and prices

What are the desired items? For the soloer? For the raider?

What components are easier/harder to get?

How do the above affect your prices?

I've found the Ceramic Sword of War on my server on bazaar mules for under 10K. With Extended Range, I'd think this would be an item that benefited both the soloer and the raider. My perception of it as a desirable item caused me to price it at 20K (no, I didn't sell it) until I found 3 on bazaar mules one evening, for under 10K.

Metallic liquid is a PITA and also used for jewelcraft Valorium Ring of Gallantry. The 8th Coldain prayer shawl is getting more common, and I see few requests for the Ceramic Shield.

The Ceramic Rod of Storms is going on my server for about 15K. 23% to cold nukes has found a niche market with Shamans/Druids/Wizards.

Enhancement haste... why? Are there any battle cast enhancements? enough to make the hammer a desired item?

What are you seeing desired and priced on your server?

    Let's share.

The hammer, oddly, also speeds the casting time on Torpor and Elixir Heal Over Time type spells. But that's not really enough to keep it from sucking.

Extended Range 4 is really, IMHO, only useful to lazy quadders, and druids who need to cast their level 60+ heals at extreme range. I find Extended Range to be a pretty feeble focus effect, personally.

Anger of E'ci on the Rod of Storms is pretty decent for a few classes (Mostly Druids and Shamans. Maybe Beastlords, and wizards who haven't gotten an ID3 item.)

Skull of Decay is now pretty much the Suq.

Gavel of Justice is okay for your friendly neighborhood necro, and some druids as well.

Shield of Valor is good for folks who don't have their 8th shawl, and it's a handy thing to pass around for buffs at raids.

Extended Range IV is also huge for druids to have more leeway when casting Command of Tunare (8 second cast time, ouch...with no focus effects, you can _just_ barely charm without getting hit if you cast from maximum distance). I prefer my wind worn luckstone from Drornok though, as it has better stats.

The ceramic rod of storms should be great once I have my 65 cold nuke, as it will be my best overall nuke, unless I somehow get my ancient nuke, and even then it's debateable.

One that hasn't been mentioned is the ceramic shackles of torment, with extended affliction IV. Extended affliction IV seems to be very hard to get, and would be very helpful, especially when combined with affliction efficiency. Sadly no one seems to hunt in torment; I found a tormentor's hoof in the bazaar but no putrescent blood yet.

How useful though... is extended affliction?

In group or raid situations, or even soloing, do DoTs ever run out before the mob dies?

Coldain military bracer has extended affliction 3, plus 6 wis and something or other else, 5 str or something. Anyway, even as a 61 shaman, you can never have it too easy when it comes to mana. The extended affliction helps me maximize my mana nicely when soloing. I find that on some mobs it does more than save incremental amounts of mana -- it can make mobs that take multiple dots to kill die right before you have to cast a last dot sometimes, saving you the cost of the entire dot -- plus of course the healing yourself that goes with it. Even minor things quickly add up when soloing. When soloing lightcrawlers in POD, for instance, I cast many bane of nife's; the fewer I can cast, the quicker I can stop doing canni and torpor and go get a new mob.

Extended affliction 4 would be even better. I'd make the ceramic shackles of torment for myself if I could get access to the drops.

The best use for extended range 3 that I have found is for fighting ae mobs. Those mobs that you used to have to be in ae range to cast on or to heal the MT (for a cleric) you can now stand just outside of AE range in a lot of cases. It also helps when you're trying to root park mobs as well as numerous other cases. For many people it may be a situational item, but from my experience every priest/caster who raids at all should have one for those AE mobs.

Very likely then, DoT soloers would be interested in Affliction Efficiency or haste as well then.

Although I'd see where the shackles would be preferred with the added WIS and INT.

The ceramic item I'd like to make for myself is the Incense burner or the water sprinkler of marr. If I had access to the ingredients... that is.

extended range is a must have for raiding clerics, with mobs that quad ae rampage for 2-4k, you really dont want to worry about being in range as the tanks move around. or so i hear.

Extended range is great if you're doing any one of a number of raids where you want the healers as far away from the action as possible. It's also great on a PvP server where the extra range can maybe help you score a kill before somebody runs out of range. Prices fluctuate a lot on Sullon, but I see the swords around 20k most times.

let me tell you, I earn more than 200k from PoV shield and BoT rod

I am the first and the only one pottery make Pov shield for sell for months in my server,

ceramic rod of storms : stormwatcher stone is rare as hell, but if you get stone then other material is easy to find; cost is low because people don't know what stone for

Ceramic Shield of valor : not everyone have 8th shawl, this shield have nice stat plus good focus effect, especial for those chanter cast KEI for pp at nexus/PoK, material is easy to find, but metalic liquid is costy; but do you hear it is easy to find ? that mean you can have endless shield for sell if market is good

I price them at Metalic Liquid x4-5 , average cost is like 2.5-3x liquid(PoP pottery have very low fail rate, maybe 20% fail) that mean 5-10k profit per shield which is pretty good for an easy item, and I sold 2-4 shields per weeks

too bad, there are few other pottery enter market and stirr up Pottery market, people not longer buy my shield at fixed price and alway those pottery maker try beat each other on price to kill PoV shield market

for other PoP pottery item, it is very very hard to sell, people like the efefct but don't want pay the price because it don't have stat which mean they don't want equip it most of time, unlike Pov shield still have decent stat to equip it all time

Yeah, but there's almost reason for a -cleric- to buy an ER4 item. The spell that they are most concerned about landing from a long distance on a raid is Complete Healing, which is level 39. All they need is a moonstone ring or something (Everyone remember the dreaded common drop from the Frenzied Ghoul in LGuk?) to get the extended range bonus on Cheal.

High level fights in PoP require chain casting of the VERY high range cleric fast heals (SR comes to mind) - which means 'add the ER IV item and you can heal someone in the next zone' as I always say.

                        Works wonders in many fights..

                        Gryfalia

PS - as an added bonus, clerics get to wield a red sword if they want to put it in primary/secondary..;-)
