Can't Get planar steins to combine

I have made sure that I have used (1) block Tanaan clay,(1) Tainted planar essence, scuplting tools, (1)Water flask, (1)Ceramic lining sketch in a Tanaan pottery wheel.

What am I doing wrong it tells me I cannot combine in this container.

I would say check four things:

1. You are placing the Scuplting Tools IN the Pottery Wheel for the combine, Correct? (it is returned success or failure)

2. You are not using the Geerlok Scuplting Tools -- or some other Geerlok? They all have the same Icon.

3. Verify the Water Flask is just that... Not a Pod of Water, or Purified Water, just a Water Flask bought from a Vendor, or Brewed from Four Pods of Water.

4. Double check the components. The ones you listed are the correct items. and should work on any Pottery Wheel (Tanaan or not).

Everything is right, I have double and triple checked it. I don't have a geerlock for pottery yet. I bought everything from Elisha Muddypaws in pok right outside the pottery wheel.

I have also just finished completing the planar manual first quest also thinking this might be the problem.

If you bought everything from her, then you don't have Tanaan Clay. Tanaan clay is only sold by one Vendor in PoK, and costs about 11 plat. And yes, the name is Tanaan Clay.

Thanks hun, yeah I figured that out finally....my husband kept telling me that blocks of clay were tanaan clay. went 17/20 with no skill raises at 187 after going 18/20 on ceramic blue bands.

Well at least this isn't as bad as JC :P

Not a problem. You're just lucky I recognized the name of the clay dealer in PoK.

For what it's worth, Planar Steins are significantly cheaper than ceramic bands. At least, later in life.
