Elaborate charm

To make elaborate charms requires 2 or 3 components needed for elaborate armor/eminent symbols.

Armor yields 30hp/mana/end while symbol gives 85hp/mana/end gear, for a combined 115hp/mana/end plus stats.

Charm yields 80 or 90 hp/mana/end depending on class.

Why can i get better/same stats on 1 aug using 1/2 to 1/3 the rare dropped components?

Or spend 2 hours doing the tinmyn's oil can quest for a charm that is 4 times as good vice maxing pottery and farming for 10-12 hours and hoping not to fail on a combine?

I am considering splitting it so all classes only need 1 of the three. No ETA at all though because we need to resolve the overall cultural issue first.
