Problem making simple charm

Ok, I'm an erudite necro and finally got everything down for my simple/blessed set except charm. I was able to make 2 unfired charms, but I combined the following according to make a simple charm of mental Erudition:

2x Unfired simple charm
1x alkaline loam
1x sullied spinneret fluid
1x crude titanium thread
1x symbol of mental unit

in the kiln in by the western trader building in POK.

Says I can't fire these items in this container. Is there a step I'm missing?
Also how do people figure out what is needed in the first place. Are there sets of books of recipes you can buy somewhere?

I think you need to use the ore rather than the thread. Search the database here for "Simple Charm" and items should come up, click on one of those for recipe.

I also am having difficulties with a simple charm - Simple Charm of Physical Adaptation. I combined the following in the kiln and received the message that those items could not be combined:

1x Alkaline Loam
1x Crude Rilsteel
1x Dusty Marrow
2x Unfired Simple Charm
1x Symbol of Physical Unity

Any help would be appreciated!

This was for my Half-elf Warrior who has all the armor and augments and now just needs the charm.

Used a Sullied Spinneret Fluid instead of the Dusty Marrow and it worked! I posted a thread in the updates section regarding the recipe change.
