Poison Vials Viable!

Just a heads up, for the next few weeks there is a great opportunity to skill-up pottery.

I got from 122-147 last night courtesy of the newbie frogs.

Same vendor I found 800+ spiderling silks on has the zombie skins required, only 127 when I checked, but with all the frogs and low level zombies I expect it to be full until all the newbies are out of the zone, then the vendor sold silk/skins will be back to normal... meaning few and far between, and only with luck.

Didn't check costs, sorry, but I think I was only down a few PP all said and done, though it was annoying firing the vials just to sell back to vendor, sold back at 9pp and change per stack, had 86 vials at the end.

In 5 minutes of vendor mining I aquired 240 zombie skins for 24pp.
Took me from 161 skill to 188 in 1 session.

which zone are you guys finding all these zombie skins and spiderling silk at?

The new Froglok starting city, Gukta (the former Troll home city of Grobb), and their newbie zone, the Innothule Swamp.

There is one NPC merchant in the Innothule Swamp. Last night, my druid bought ten stacks of zombie skins from him.

The swamp is swarming with zombies (and crab spiders that drop spiderling silk).

BTW, she tried making a vial with the new spiderling flesh (which has the same graphic as zombie skin, etc.) and it did not combine.

There are also tons of zombie skins to be gotten on a romp through the Crypt of Nadox and/or Hate's Fury, where all the undead trolls seem to have a pretty good chance of dropping 1-4 zombie skins. While obviously not as quick and low-level friendly as scrounging around Gukta, the foes in question were dark blue at 62 (Most seemed to be in the low-mid 50's) so if you want to score some XP and loot while you're at it (Got several good cash gems too) this is a good area to hunt.

Oh, and a word of warning: Pathing in the Crypt of Nadox is, as they say, The Suq. It's like they took everything they learned in making past zones with awesome pathing, list Mistmoore and The Hole and applied it to this place. Never have I seen mobs chase a puller halfway across a large, empty room, then turn and run the other way to plow into the wall until they warped to him. And our crowning pathing moment of the night was when something aggroed on our puller, charged, him, stopped like eighteen inches short, turned, ran a circuit around half the room, and then bolted off down the corridor we'd originally entered from, never to be seen or heard from again. I can only assume that another group must've killed him. It was awesome.
