Thrug gate potions

OK, trying my darndest to keep this from being a rant but it's REALLY getting to me.

Got a 122 pottery, made one gate potion before the big pottery nerf without issue, had to use it post nerf, now I'm going 0 for 8 making these suckers - had 7 die on the wheel and 1 in the condensor (or maybe the kiln - forget) but this is begining to get to me - is anyone else encountering these kind of failures on these things or am I just having a REALLY bad run with the RNG?

Granted this is not a representative sample, but last week I was successful on my first try at 142 skill.

My second attempt at 126 failed, so I decided to make large bowls until I hit 135 or so. Haven't failed a gate potion combine since.

At 155 pottery (since a few days after the "new" poison vials made it possible to get skill that high) I have never skilled up on Thurg gate potions due to trivial level, but I have had a surprisingly high number of screw ups at the skill checks.

I took my Pottery skill to 130 a LONG LONG time ago and never went higher. And I have NEVER failed a combine of the Thurg Vial. Not in the Kilm or the Wheel. And now that I have sead this, I will fail but just saying, with my 51 Ranger I use this a LOT, almost always have a fired vial and some small peaces of Vel in the bank so when I use one I can just make another.
