Where can I find the "book" the patch says is sold by pottery merchants? I am a Dark Elf but I saw no books in the merchants in pok or Neriak...........

Pottery Charms?

Were the patterns fixed yet or not? I see some completed charms being submitted, but not sure if those are off Test or from the few people who actually got charm patterns when they worked for a few days prior to the patch, or if the pattern book is actually giving the new charm patterns now on Live. So when you make the patterns now on Live do you get Charm patterns?
Also I am seeing on the recipes like this one:
Master's Charm of Derived Endurance: Trivial 304
Unfired Master Charm x2
Master's Frostwarded Steel Bar x1
Master's Driftwalker Swatch x1
Symbol of Derived Unity x1
that its showing a swatch and a bar, so these also require relatively high tailoring and smithing.Last edited by -Nadanog-; 10-14-2005, 06:34 AM.

The combines on the finished charms are not race restricted currently. I had an Erudite try mine (DE) and he succeeded making it (Master's Charm of Physical Corruption).
I suspect this will be fixed sometime soon.Kcalehc K'Venalis

How? There are no cultural kilns/wheels.
Symbols are not cultural either... anybody can make any symbol, and since the molds for charms come from the symbol patterns combine, I'm fairly certain this is intentional functionality.Last edited by Qaladar Bragollach; 10-14-2005, 01:22 PM.

Sadly I think this is the case my Gnomish chanter made a charm for me Half Elf pally....I was dismayed to see that the charm was, indeed, Race: Gnome.Squeaky Toy300 Smithing 7/7 - 300 Tailoring 7/7 - 300 Jewelcraft 7/7 - 300 Tinkering 7/7 - 300 Pottery 7/7 - 300 Research 7/7 - 300 Baking 7/7 - 300 Brewing 7/7 - 300 Fletching 7/7The Meanest Tradeskiller on Cazic Thule

The race of the charm is determined by which cultural materials you use. If you had the gnome make the charm using the high elf cultural silk swatch and chain bar, then the resulting charm would have been wearable by high elf instead of gnome.

Has that been confirmed? If so, that's awesome but if it is truly cultural it seems odd that any race could make the charm.Squeaky Toy300 Smithing 7/7 - 300 Tailoring 7/7 - 300 Jewelcraft 7/7 - 300 Tinkering 7/7 - 300 Pottery 7/7 - 300 Research 7/7 - 300 Baking 7/7 - 300 Brewing 7/7 - 300 Fletching 7/7The Meanest Tradeskiller on Cazic Thule

I suspect the reason we have no GM charms yet is that they probably take coarse silk, since that's the key component for GM silk armor. Coarse silk, as has been stated numerous times, is WAY too rare. And frankly if I happened to find any, it would go to my husband's enchanter first for his GM armor.
