  • 300 skill but what to bother making?

Well finally pushed pottery to max, and now i look at recipes, and bazaar items of what to try making ... doesnt look like there is anything really worthwhile since PoP and even then most of that stuff sits and rots in trader satchels .... WTS ceramic hammer of innovation 200pp pst ....

OOW charms .. i'd rather use the drops for the charms on making smithing/tailoring stuff as it sells for more of a profit .. so have i missed something or has pottery gone the way of that smashed plate?

Well, it's a combination of marketing what you make, and making what's unusual. I make my money selling pottery that you don't see in the Bazaar, because most of the stuff I make is stuff that people don't even know about. These are the things I've made that either found a home with guildmates or sold in the Bazaar relatively quickly.

Black marble mortar and pestle: you'd be surprised how many rogues love having this item, and most of them have never heard of it. Remind them that it's the only ten-slot in the game and weighs one stone, so it's not bad as a pack when it's not in use as a poisonmaking container.

Ceramic PoP items: the key to these is tribute. Many folks don't know what the items are worth in tribute, and you can drop that ceramic hammer of innovation on your master for nearly 2000 tribute. Ceramic shields of valor sell well for the item, but also because they're worth eleven thousand tribute. Skulls are 4400 and so on. Make them, and check the values, and use them to move the items, or just use them yourself if you're so inclined. There's still a good market for this stuff.

Crucibles of escape: most druids and wizards don't even know this item exists, and most will pay a few hundred plat to free up a spell slot for something else. I always sell these out as fast as I can make them.

Hand formed bottles: if you have access to a shaman, these bottles can be used to make snare potions and stun potions, both of which sell if you advertise. Split your profit with your shaman and you'll both make a decent chunk of change.

Faithstones/spiritstones: everyone said the Return Home button would wipe out this market, but it hasn't. Mention that you can do it any time you like, and that it can be used as a second bind point for farming camps, and they'll sell. I usually do these on commission, but I've put a few of the more popular ones up (nature and underfoot are biggies; lots of High Elf and Dwarf clerics) and they sell.

Roughly 17K tribute actually. I make these regularly to sell in the bazaar, and buy up all metallic liquid I can get for a reasonable price. When I have too many on my mule, I donate a few to guild tribute.

Just today I was looking for Spherical Bottles to buy, since these are now needed for a Neriak Task, involving the current War. Trivial on the unfired Spherical bottle is 302. None for sale, so I found myself a friendly Potter with 240 skill who made a few after I had provided the ingredients off course.

It's a very simple combine, only drawback is the foraged Air-infused Spring water (Broodlands forage). But the water is for sale on our server for 75-200 plat each and it's not *that* rare of a forage. Only problem is that it shares a humongous list of foraged items in Broodlands. I guess prices depend on how many forage-bots your server has.....

I would have paid 500 plat easily if I had found one for sale, simply because I needed one yet there weren't any. So I agree with Silverfish, go for the stuff that people need (rarely), but never seems to be for sale.

omg! After filling up my vendor mule with those (I always had them on sale for I think 20pp atm, have not sold a single one ever), I have dropped hundreds onto npc merchants while skilling up. (On Vazaelle the water prices are not that bad, I am able to buy a decent number of water for 40-75pp to do training runs.) Just the though of finally selling one of several hunded finished bottles on my baz mule makes me go whee

Can you elaborate on this a little? Which part of neriak? Who to talk to? What you know about the tasks?

sorry for bumping an old thread, but after I made hundreds of unfired spherical bottles that have no use and kept them on a mule for about a year, I wondered if they had effectivly any use
