    Mudslinging

The muddies in the Gorge drop Heavy Clay fairly often, as opposed to some other drops we all wait for. My problem was always being encumbered in the gorge, and, being a warrior at the time, not haveing SoW to move normally to the vendor.
So, an option for anyone bashing Muddites for Heavy Clay (Gee, that makes it sound radioactive!) is to head out into Karana to the vendors left of the entrance and buy up what everyone else sells.
As Heavy Clay doesn't stack (if memory serves) you may actually have to mine the merchants a lttle to get all you want or need.
    Cheers!

        Drop rates for Heavy Clay

As a 37 Barbarian shaman with 30ish pet I have no problems in the Gorge killing all the muddites I can find. I can pull 2 or 3 elders and a number of minors and not have a problem killing them. In about 3 hours of killing and 2 trips to EK to mine merchants I had 41 Heavy clay of which about 30 were looted. On a side note, curses to the RNG for no skill-up on those 41 combines!
