The best place to farm solidified magma is right past the first castle in PoF - in front of the bridges where the charm birds spawn. The birds are on a 3 day spawn so you will have 3 days to farm the magma dudes off the bridge when a guild comes thru and kills them. Best to start by killing the Doomfires on either side of the steps going into the castle. Then pull the Magma roamer off the bridge (only roamer). Then the corner Magmas on the bridge can be single pulled. The final 2 magmas have to be FD pulled as you will get both. This is as far as I got as I had to camp for the night. I was able to get 1 solidified magma by killing 7 of the magmas - not bad. I'll be hunting them for a while so I will report on the drop rate.
Best to duo these. They have about 60k HPs so they take a while to kill. Not sure what they hit for as I never let them touch me - would have killed me I'm sure with my paper armor.
