OK, I went to Unrest and didn't get 1 zombie skin, and went to the undead obelisk (looks like a wizzie spire) in SK and there were only 2 zombies at a time there - is there a place to farm tons of these suckers? Please help)

Gunthak; lots of Troll undead, can drop multiple skins and depending on your level you may even get XP off em. Be sure and kill any and all undead though as any undead spawn point can spawn a troll or skeleton.
EDIT: Oh yeah and check all the vendors at the Lighthouse as well.{dead image removed by Ngreth at ulujain's request}

I've been doing the same farming to get pottery up. I guess SOE didn't like tradeskillers clearing out Innothule because the spawn rates on the spiderlings (day spawn) and zombies (night spawn) have been greatly reduced in my experience.
The haunted spire in SK is still good, but yes, it often spawns with often only 2 spawns, but can still respawn with a dozen zombies. There's also a haunted obelisk in NK (looks like a big Y), but I haven't been there in a while so I don't know how the spawns are anymore.
Gunthak was very good today. After checking the merchants and running around the beach a bit I ended up with almost 4 stacks of skins. I usually clear out the beach a few times if it's not camped to make up for the disappointing lack of loot in LoY zones and can end up with 100-200pp of coin drops and sellables.
Keep in mind that a large number of pelts also work for vials. A run through the commonlands and Kelethin merchants resulted in a few stacks of varying quality pelts, plus a lot of puma and black wolf skins.

Also, the spawn at the wizzy spire in SK can alternate between skeletons and zombies.
An okay way if you are a necro and a potter to increase your supplies of both.
And yes, the spawn number varies each time. However, for the hour that I was there, at least half of the time I got 12 spawns.

I'm stunned beyond belief at the Unrest problem. Most of the yard trash drops zombie skin. I think they are random pops =PH for each other so just kill everything in the yard. And let it be known that you want zombie skin, you can get a lot from people for low pp or even buffs. I rezed and buffed while I was there (it is fun helping people) and lots of people gave me stacks of skins when they found out that is what I was there for. I confess not having been there in some time, but I had not heard of a change to the unrest drop table /shrug.
While the TL is in operation, you can check the cat merchant in Eruds crossing pretty easily. The sailors there drop zombie skin.Obina Redemptus

There are lots of things besides zombie skins that work for poison vials. I've found that farming Stonebrunt for cat pelts is faster for me than killing zombies in various zones. You can make vials with the MQ and HQ pelts, and use the LQ pelts for leather padding. Also, tiger skins work for pottery too.

Thanks for the info. The spiderling and zombie population of innothule hasn't been nerfed, but there is a pathing problem.
I had been going there regularly for spiderling silk and after maybe a week (and a patch) I zoned in to find almost none. I'll bring a tracker and try again.

It isn't worth "farming" them, unless you are getting XP/treasure from the mob as well.
Best way to farm them is to go to vendors in areas where they are. Then you can find tons on the vendors for a couple gold each.
It has to be a bit after a patch for that to work, of course.
For the heck of it, while buying out animal skins and spider type silks, I bought out zombie skins as well. Just buying them when I saw them I soon had like 9 stacks. After they did not move at all in the bazaar, for just a few gold, I quit buying them out.

I get nearly all my zombie skins from merchants. Hundreds of them over a couple weeks time. I do the same with spiderling silk. *shrug*
I kill zombies whenever I see em, but otherwise, it's merchants all the way. The PoP books make merchant mining all over the world pretty convenent.

Thanks for the tip
Well, thanks to the person who posted about the Wizzy pyramid in SK. Collected about 2 stacks an hour of zombie skins, and about 3 stacks an hour of bone chips as well. Also enough copper pieces to add up to, I don't know, maybe 2 or 3 pp ;P
As far as merchant mining, I've almost never had good luck with it. Maybe it's just my server, I don't know. I spent 2 hours today hitting all the vendors in WC, EC, NRo, Oasis, SRo, Innothule, Gunthak, etc. Got a little over a stack of zombie skins for my effort. Oh yeah, Unrest was totally camped, and nobody was selling there, either. At least with farming, you know that if you get the camp, you will collect a decent amount of zombie skins, and I can spend the 6 minutes between spawns surfing the boards, chatting with friends or buffing lowbies.
Well, off to do another 130ish combines, hope it gets me to 188

A little better luck...
I did a total of about 320 combines to go from 174 to 194 (sealed vials to 188, then advanced vials). WIS was 257-260 for all combines, with Geerlock equipped.
Now I'll do casserole dished to 199, then figure out where to go after that.
