Extract trivials changed?

  • Extract trivials changed?

    I thought that the "intended path" was to use the dropped components?

    I have been saving all the Fresh, Fine, Quality, Superior, and Pristine drops for the 275-300 run, but tonight after I start, I find the following trivials in my Tradeskill Window...

    Refined Grade A Larkspur Extract - Triv 191, EQTC Triv list doesn't list it, but shows Refined Grade A Privit Extract - Triv 328

    Refined Grade AA Privit Extract - Triv 227, EQTC Triv list shows 364

    Refined Grade AA Oleander Extract - Triv 216, EQTC Triv list shows 358

    I skipped right to the high end stuff, and this is what I found



    Purified Grade AA Oleander Extract - Triv 291, EQTC Triv list shows 472

    So what's the deal? Why are the trivials all fubar?

    I've been working on maxing out my rogue's poison making too, got the same results.

    Refined Grade A Laburmum Extract 198
    Refined Grade A muscimol Extract 195
    Refined Grade A Oleander Extract 192

    And the message You can no longer advance your skill from making this item with every combine.

    I compared some of the info here with Allakhazam's and they've come up the same, this may be a recent ninja nerf.

    Also from what I'm seeing, it's just the extracts, the final poisons still appear to be accurate so far.

      I fail to see the nerf. Skilling up is not a problem all the rog only dd stuff can easily be used for skilling up, since its cheap (< 2 pp) and merchant bought.

      The trivials for purifying ingredients were lowered to yield more finished poisons per dropped item. This was in a patch message, but no one has gone over the existing trivials to update them. I am sure if you list your findings precisely in the data submission section some kind soul will make the updates

        Actually you cannot skill up with any type of DD poison. You must have a skill higher than the trivial to make those.

        The change was in the August 12th patch but yeah, nobody has taken the time to submit the new trivials.

          Yeah, I posted on The Safehouse, and was told aobut the change in the Aug 12 patch,

          - Poison component drops have been increased, mostly at the higher levels. At the higher levels it has been doubled, and the NPCs have been given a chance to drop 1 or 2 components. Humanoid rogues will drop 1 to 4.
          - The Messenger Bane poisons have been given an extra tick of duration to make them more reliable. They still will not be perfect if you get a bad run.
          - The Rogue vendor only poisons are now easier to make.
          - The refining steps in the make poison skill are now easier.
          Still a chance to skill up on the higher end extracts, and the extracts themselves are needed to make higher triv poisons so you can still use them, even if you can't skill up on them as easy as before.

          There is also a post containing many of the corrected trivials in the Database Submissions forum, it's contents have just not been updated yet
