Use up your components if you care about them.

I *may* be leaving in the old recipes, with the possibility of some trivials being changed. Much of it is still up in the air.

But consider this a warning that it is likely old poison making components will become useless.

I am currently working on it, and have 6 more working days to finish it.

That's relatively soon (tm) in my view. I wasn't sure if this was a November expansion thing or something sooner.

Yalum is correct.

"Old" is anything that combines, and makes POISON, now.

I will not be touching the augments and miscellaneous combines that also use the make poison skill (for example... dyes).

I read this over on the eq players forum, and had to dust off this old account to tell you personally. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to dust off the mortar and pestle, rinse out the poison vials, and make sure my bank is clear of anything that might be a poison component. Then sell the left overs for some coins to bank roll experimenting with the new stuff.

They did work as recently as yesterday. I don't know if that is intended or if they will be removed in the coming days/months.
