Level Limits?

G'day folks,

Got a perplexing message yesterday, was skilling up my brand new beginner's trophy and tried to make some drop of mercury and got the message (paraphrased) "Your experience is not high enough to attempt to make this combine." I'm lvl 23 and cannot make triv 62 combine? (hrrrm, the board says it should be a triv 46.... but my mortar and pestle is saying low 60s? I'll have to double check that tonight. I specifically picked it 'cause I knew I'd need it later and it was easy and close to my skill.)

I've read several FAQs, also the "learn" section from the main menu here on EQtraders. This thread states that the limits were removed.

So, my question is, what am I missing? Thanks!

Some combines are restricted in that they cannot be made unless you have a certain level in that skill (Aid Grimel combines, Ethereal Silk Swatches, Ethereal Metal Plates, etc are some examples.)

Checking the Drop of Mercury recipe on EQTC, it seems this can only be combined by Rogues with a skill <= 192, but the lowest possible skill it can be combined at hasn't been discovered yet. What is your current Poison making skill?

Make Poison Components: gnomish spirits, mercuric ore
In: mortar and pestle, marble mortar and pestle, collapsible mortar and pestle
Yield: 2
Required Skill Level: <=192
This combine may only be made by Rogues
Notes: Reported craftable at skill 192

KK, I'll post an update in the update forums once I confirm the triv and my triv.

I had just assumed that something I auto-learned would be do-able. I didn't even come here to check as I just wanted a quick few combines before I went to bed. Thanks Mav.
