  • profit from JC?

Is it actually possible to make a profit from JC anymore?

I personally started JC for the trophy (which i now have) but now im thinking there may be a way to make a profit from my skills... are there any items people will buy with enough profit to make it worth while?

i also have a 170 smithing skill which i plan to raise to at least 200.

What about PoP recipes? I did a combine for a friend, failed the first time but was successful the second.

There are some nice items you can make. I just don't know how hard it is to find the ingredients.

It is quite easy to profit from JC. It cost me about 7k plat to GM, and I have already made that back. I don't sell JC items often,... only when I get a good deal/drop on components, but they can add up quick. What I doubt you will profit on is the basic JC items. I remember I used to sell Artisans Seals for a tidy profit for a while. Perhaps you could try selling the mounted gems. *shrug* Just an idea....

People said I would never get back the money I spent on tailoring, either.

pop items and possibly gem studded chains are the best chance at a profit from jc. try hunting stuff that drops components and then asking your group if anyone else can use it. if it isnt a metallic liquid, they probably dont know what its for, which means you can have it

I made decent plat selling gem studded chains that I had left over from making solstice robes.

Most of the profit now is going to be from PoP items. I've been working on gathering compos for Earth and Fire rings...takes a while but it's worth it

One way to make money is to cull the vendors looking for ingredients. You can often find components on a vendor for 1/10th of the going rate in the bazaar. It takes a lot of time though to check out the vendors.
