  • Non-enchanter newbie skillup information

Im a dark elf warrior with the following stats
    INT - 102
    WIS - 84
    CHA - 101

I used Geerlok the whole time, the merchants were indifferent, and used the skillup path described in this thread... http//mboards.eqtraders.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3931

Using 2k, I hoped to get close to 200 starting from scratch. I ended up at 130, pretty far below my goal but im still happy with the new skill level.

    Update

I spent another 6k and it took me from 130 to 196. It really slowed down around 170, but that was expected. I estimate about another 20-30k to get to 250.

The thought just came to my mind... would it be worth it to buy a whole set of crapppy INT gear that would cap my INT at 270? Prolly would cost several kpp but in the end in might save me much money and time since I work on every tradeskill

It should save you quite a bit. Additionally, you should invest in a geerlok and stay close to the trivials. Saves more than a ton of money.

It would have definatly been worth you capping INT asap and ideally getting CHA up a bit to ensure minimum / maximum prices.

Oddly by this point the geerlock makes no difference most of the time. (Items that are not trivial yet are already 95% sucess)
The rest of the time you are better off with a handheld Int item.

The exception to this will be when you start on the Plat combines (malachite). Once you are within about 8 points of that trivial you can discard the geerlock untill you start making things that are above your skill again (or >250).
