  • What items turn best profit in JC?

Well, I just got up to 222 JC last night and ran out of cash again. I've sunk a grand total of about 7k to get this far. So is there anything I can make and sell to make some cash for the push to 250? All the gold stuff is triv'd but I'm only up to platinum turquiose. Any suggestions as to which combinations up to that sell the best?

    Thanks

Resist gear is still a decent way to make up your losses doing skillups. Though you can't do some of the BD combines, there are still some items that you can make a good profit off of.

I've found Blue Diamond Electrum to be a good source of income. On Firiona Vie I sell them for around 750pp. Not the cheapest, but not the most pricey either. When I see a blue diamond for under 500, or even on a merchant (It happens) I buy it. That puts the profeit at 250pp minimum, 500 if I can find a BD on a merchant.

        hehe

Kaidian- your sig should read "tradeskillers do it with tinkertoys"

        hehe, sorry off topic though

        /clears throat!

I'll offer some advice, but you probably won't really like hearing it...while the electrum BD is actually a good tip, they will probably sell pretty well for you....they also will not last forever, less less people are turning to saves gear that hacks at stats as bad as JC saves do....yes the BD stuff was a good try and was useful in it's time..but it's outdated pretty much as of now. But at 222 that is about the only place you can go.

I know on my server there are people that crank out velium fire (opal) wedding rings by the truck loads. BUT for the same token, they are basically 425p a piece, which leaves a dismal 100p profit. I mean fail once and you have to sell 4 just to get back above water. I just don't understand it.....that is what this was all about. I cannot understand why people on my server hack at each others throats when we could just all "ban together"

But then again......Luclin's economy is really ignorant, and this would turn into a primal scream topic if I continued.

Need to push on to 250 and turn to PoP JC if you want to make money in JC...but for gawd's sake don't do that just to drive the prices down even further!!

Yeah I am really con-JC, I think it's a worthless skill except for being the easiest one to get a trophy in. They really needed to go back and revamp the old recipies ON TOP OF adding the nicer PoP items IMHO.

I agree.. I am a bit disappointed with JC.. Compared to other tradeskills, it is quite easy. Less accomplishment to grandmaster. As a result, less useful stuff can be made.

One thing I stumbled across lately.. Mounted gems. The ones used for the tradeskill trophy. They are easy enough to make, and I can sell them for a bit of profit, at least on Firiona Vie. Right now I'm making them as I get the gems and putting them for sale in the bazaar while I get the rest of the components for another trophy, so I have them overpriced at 1500pp. But even at that they sell. I may actually go into regular production, probably 1250 for diamond/black sapphire and 1500 for jacinth/blue diamond.. Either that or 1000/1250. The thing that amazes me though is that the people buying them could just go buy a completed artisan's seal for 5kpp, which is cheaper than I sell 4 of the mounted gems for. But *shrug* if people buy them I will continue to make them. Like the people who sells rubys in the bazaar for 100pp.. I'll keep buying them, making silver jewelry, and selling them to a merchant for a nice profit.

Thats the other thing I do to make small change. I comb the bazaar for gems. Sometimes people sell gems above what the merchant will pay but under what the merchant will charge. Ex, sapphires for 100pp, rubys for 125pp, diamonds for 200pp. Any of these I will buy and make cheap easy jewelry (silver) and sell it to a merchant for a profit. Even with failures the profit margin at those prices are enough to make money.

Interesting thing happened the last couple of days.

Guild Jeweler asked me if any of the guild members needed an Amulet of Unseen Horrors since he had just made two using guild materials. I wasnt sure so asked him to hold off on selling them till I could make sure.

So he tossed both amulets up on his bazaar mule at 15k.

            And sold both.
