  • Help...i need 250 JC

I read this board alot, and now I have a question i have gathered 37,500 pp to trade skill / equip a level 1 enchanter i want to get to 250 skill as quick and cheap as I can......So what I'm asking is can anyone link a website with a detailed way to level up to 250 jewelcraft. And question 2. My enchanter is a level 1 gn0me (r0xx0r ) should i level him up b4 i trade skill him or just get right into it before i blow my pp on mithril 2-handed swords  here is a pre-thanks for anyone who helps me out.

      check out this webpage. http://www.eqtraders.com/jewelry/index.htm

Just follow the trivial chart there. Without enchanting your metals (which a lvl 1 chanter cant do), it should run you around 10k

Do yourself a favor and find a benevolent Enchanter (lvl 49), You can hit 200 with about 2-4Kpp IF you stay very close to trivials, but by 175 you will start loosing p on sell backs, Find someone to enchant that metal. Of course your starting finds are large but no reason to throw good money away.

I think Gumkak's site is still the best for skilling up JC. I don't have the URL at hand but try google and search for Gumkak. Should be the first hit.

And I agree, enchanting the bars is a major ease on the wallet. Definitely worth is, especially once you start using platinum bars.

Never had a 250 JC before but took me 2K (yes, as in 2,000pp) to get to 200 with my cleric.

Or go to the eqtraders JC recipes page and click on the link there (in the paragraph at the top explaining how and why they don't list trivials for the standard JC combines) to Gumkak's site.

                unwritten rule of thumb

Just work your way up according to cost of materials, you really don't need a guide at all.
Just start with silver and work up to about jade/pearl, or thereabouts....at jade.... electrum/malachite is a cheaper combine, you will fail a bit more at it, but it's better than taking silver all the way up to, or past a gem like opal, which is a 17p combine.
Then take electrum to around opal....about 20p combine and go back to gold malachite which will be just 11p.
You can decently make combines as much as 20-30 points under trivial, and not get hurt too much.
If money is not an issue failing a bit more to do a harder combine will help some. I somewhat believe that working with harder materials increases skill faster than working with one just under triv.

Total I probably used 20k (estimating a little higher than I actually think I used) to get to 250. Some might say, "well you overspent then" or "I completely triumphed because I did it with 10k" Well I say good for you, but here we both are at 250 /shrug

JC is probably the easiest skill there is, 0 to 250 all vendor items, and you can do it as fast as you wish, just need the money to do it......seriously I bet you could crank out 250 in one weekend if you are already a wealthy player. Back when I was doing my skill I was scraping together 2k to practice, and would have long periods where I couldn't practice for lack of funds.

                Good luck
