  • JC Trophy

My JC is 240 and I am using a Geerlok Gem Setter. From what I've read on here, this maxes out my skill at 252.

Is this sufficient to make a trophy? I don't have to be at 250 listed skill, do I?

    Thanks,
    -- C.

Also, how many times have you tried to make your trophy before you succeeded? I've heard people getting it their first try and others took at least five tries. I'm just wondering what the worst case was.

Correct I made my tailoring trophy at 201 and my baking trophy at 230 it is not restricted as far as I know.

I was at 250 when I made my trophy. But to answer your second question, I must have had bad luck with the RNG as it did take my 5 attempts to finally get my trophy made.

Wow. How many times did you try on each? Or did you just get very lucky and make it on the first try?

I had 239 JC with a Geerlok and failed my first try at a trophy, but I went up to 240. The next day I tried again and still failed.

Is it common to fail a few times or do most people get it right away?

          Thanks,

On my tailoring one it was first shot on the baking one it was two tries to make it.

As for failures my wife tried 2 times to get her spoon but a couple of friends of mine one has failed 5 times and quit not only trying but the game and another has tried 4 times and is waiting on another seal to try again.

My enchanter's JC trophy was the first I tried and got it on first attempt at 250.

I next tried my druid's pottery trophy and have failed that one 6 times. I'm now currently at 242 and haven't tried since about 230. I farm gem areas so I usually made another attempt after looting the 4 gems. I think I made my first attempt around 210 or so. I plan on trying again this weekend, now that I'm 242.

I really wanted a trophy on my druid so I blew the 3 AA points and GM'd brewing to 250. Attempted a trophy at 250 and failed that one too.

I will probably try another brewing trophy after my gnome skills up a bit more in tinkering to make her own corkers. (I have tons of blue diamonds lying around).

I haven't tried again yet...still trying to save up money to buy the velium. I have enough gems for two more tries, but the metal sure is expensive! I should have enough to try again soon. Wish me luck!

But I do have an additionaly question. Doesn't the trophy give a bonus to your skill? I thought it did, but I didn't see it listed on the main site. I guess if you are good enough to make your trophy, you probably don't need a bonus anyway.

Trophy is +5%, just like geerlok.

I've failed twice on my jewelcraft trophy now, at 243 with geerlok. I've been making attempts as the money comes in.
