I have been a jeweler for the gods know how long, and recently while working on sickles, I came across a strange problem. I have always bought Sapphires in Felwithe for 105pp, but just the other day, I was not paying attention and they were selling to me for 127pp. I had tp boost my CHR significantly to ge back to the 105pp price. I paid 105pp even before my Trophy, and was wondering if any others may have noticed a change recently. I do rather go numb doing tradeskills, but I figure after 3 years of being a GM jeweler I would know my prices afterall. I just find it strange that I noticed this as of late.

Have you noticed a change in faction with them for any reason as well? You can also buy sapphires in SH in the temple and by the bank. I have also bought them in Thurg I believe.

If a lot of people were buying from that particular vendor, he could have gone into "greedy" mode. Significantly higher prices; you need to get your CHA to, I think, somewhere around 140 to get back to best prices with a "greedy" merchant.
Some vendors are always greedy (the only one I can remember right now is Boomba the Big near the West Freeport gate).
Sapphires are still 105pp, or at least were last night.Velurian

If a merchant sees ALOT of activity, he will start to get cocky and greedy.
He will start asking 3k for that Iron ration, and 12k for that UBAH level 4 spell. (Exaggeration of course)
I have *HEARD* , for some reason, that buying an item by the stack, with the shift key, and then selling back, one by one with the CTRL key, will cause the vendor to get less greedy.
You may have to do that quite a few times, though.
