Where is the cut off between the reg jewlery and compartmentd? I hav enot been able to figure this out yet, ie i have a toon level 65 and want them in compartmented due to being able to put in augs. what shoudl i use to get best stats?

The lvl requirements should be the same wheither you add the mana potion or not.

there is a hugh difference in stats from one to the other of same metals. Why I asked level difference to get best stats.

Compartmented Jewelry is 5 levels higher.

Switching Metals

For normal trios, switch to:
Palladium at 55
Dwerium at 65
Temporite at 75

For compartmented, switch to:
Palladium at 60
Dwerium at 70
Temporite at 80

If switched between normal and compartmented, it depends on which aug is in the type-7 slot.

Hmmm, it feels like I lost three months (okay work was REALLY crazy) but I don't recall anything about compartmented jewelry. I searched the forums for Comparmented and got 4 results, including Halas Meat Pies.... I can infer that this 'new' type of jewelry now allows slot 7 augs and takes a vial of mana, probably dependent upon the type of metal used. I would greatly appreciate it if someone can point me in the direction of when this came about/history/details, et al.

I've searched the forums, the recipes (which state that there is no recipe for the items) and googled outside of EQ (including alla's).

I really should learn how NOT to work so hard and play more! Thanks for the info in advance - I'm well on my way to 300 in my 7 trophies.

Regarding the history of compartmented jewelery --

Here is a link to the patch notes from the release of the Seeds of Destruction expansion. http://everquest.allakhazam.com/sdet...ml?story=15544 . Although the word compartmented or even jewelery is not stated, it does state that "A few new sets of items and recipes have been created for Tradeskills". A massive amount of changes were brought forth in this expansion.

If you searched the recipes and didn't find anything, then you probably misspelled compartmented. They're all there.

Whats the advantage ...dwerium -Temporite?

Question is what is the benefits to upgrading from COMP Dwerium to COM Temporite if the AUG remains the same? I used the CALC from one of the threads . It shows (using regular trio ) a huge increase in the HP and AC from the same gems slotted. I went and and made a set of Comp Temp and didnt se any change at all. In the item with the same Augs.

Are the COM TEMP items broken or something? Is there a new AUG that is out past Taaffeite that can be used or is the power of the new metal supposed to make this all better the Dwerium?

The higher the level of the metal the better stats you can get from the inserted gems. There are no differences between the regular and compartmented, except for the extra (type 7) aug slot and 5 levels higher on rec/req.

So far there have been no new gems found (so I would conjecture none, but never say never).
