  • Aug missed in last update

The sublime Skeptic augments dont seem to have been upgraded with this last patch like the rest were.

The nimble augs are all now base 17+3 or 18 except the Skeptic one, which still shows as a base 15 damage with a +1 chromatic.

The penetrating augs are all now base 16+2 or 16 except the Skeptic one, which still shows as a base 14 damage.

The vicious augs are all now base 41+3 or 41+4 except the Skeptic one which still shows as a base 35 damage.

Overall I think the new weapon/aug ratios are much better and much closer to what they should be, if not exactly where they should be. Good job SOE Dev team.

The procs in my opinion are still very far below what they should be. Level 65s had access to proc augs with 175 damage as far back as DoN expan. I think these current augs should at least match that, at least on sublime and venerable(both with a 175 proc).

Also, I am going to ask again. Is there any chance of adding some caster usable effects to the current augs, or adding new aug lines with wis and int caster usable effects? Even if the sublimes only had a +20% to magic damage spells that faded past level 78, or venerables with similar that faded over level 83, it would still be a welcome addition. Please, seriously consider this so that all classes are represented equally in these new weapons.

I will be doing some parsing. The point is *NOT* to match all other weapons... the point is to have all of the same weapon do about the same DPS.

If this parsing shows a need for a change I will do it, but again... the point is *NOT* to match other procs but to match a certain damage target.

My early parses found a warrior with NO AA and no buffs was doing almost exactly the same DPS. Since it is not realistic for people to have NO AA or buffs, I am re-doing the test with AA's and buffs in mind.

I will look at the augs I missed updating...

Sorry Ngreth, I hadnt considered the procs from a DPS point of view. I was thinking purely in terms of selling points on the weps as a tradeskiller hehe. Its much easier to sell an aug with a 175 dmg proc than it is to sell one with 100 dmg proc.

Considering the effect AA can have on proc rate, a parse with the appropriate AA would make sense. If the parse shows the same again, then I have no complaint with them as they stand. I must admit I like the dps my 77 ranger does with the Elegant Longswords. The weapons as they are now are a decent option for people who dont play a lot and therefore maybe dont get the grouping opportunities often to get better weapons.

About the caster aug idea, is there any possibility at all of something happening along those lines? If there is, maybe a debate thread here would generate some good ideas for how it could be implemented.

        Not likely.

Caster itemization is *NOT* in weapons, it is more in the other clothes they wear. at this point I do not want to add ANOTHER itemization slot for casters. The weapon slots for casters are mostly for stats, not for additional spell damage.

I could also remove more damage and make the proc larger (counterbalancing) but the end result needs to continue to be "equivalent" DPS I just think that that might look a bit weirder.
