Cultural damage augs?

I can't make heads nor tails of the recipe given in book 5 for the type 11 deity damage augs. I've tried every combination I could think of using an uncut black sapphire, round cut tool, gem cutter, eyeglass, water flask, vial of pure water, blessed water of bertoxxulous, and every type of vial of mana.

Any tips out there?

Buy the scrolls from the JC vendor in PoK by the baking vendors; open the scrolls and scribe them, it has the recipe for all of the augs (sublime,elegant,venerable,ornate,etc etc etc)
