Degredation Linear?

Is the stat degredation from the recommended lvl supposed to be linear? I have a dwerium trio on my 58 wizzy and the stats got worse after the most recent patch, but more than I expected. It appears that the most optimum is to stay near your recommended level or am I missing something?

The stats are scripted to work differently than most recommended level items we are used to. The drop off of stats when you get more than about 5 levels below the recommended level is very steep. It's a steep curve, rather than the linear formula that is applied to most other items.

So yes, you want to use the trio that is closest to your recommended level instead of dwerium, be it palladium, platinum, velium etc.
