Palladium items

Greetings,

I'm looking for an explaination why all the recipes that use prismatic palladium are now DNC especially the ones that use dropped gems.

I could have sworn that the notes I've read said that non-enchanted metal combines would not be affected by the new JC that was implemented. I understand that the designers didn't want a skill up path that was vendor only, but the higher end Palladium items required dropped gems.

The vendor sold metal combines work (for no stats like they used to). Palladium now requires enchanting the palladium before you can create an item with it.
