    UPDATED WITH RECOMMENDED LEVELS

All of this is on the site now (though some stats are missing), and there are also exhaustive guides to all the types of Jewelry like this (Dwerium, Palladium, etc.), and as best I can tell, nobody has posted JUST what you need for Dwerium. I put this together for my guild and decided to post here as well. Enjoy.

    Updated with rarer drop gems.

Your go-to people for molds and tools will be Kellum Ghaeaus in East Freeport and Aelisian Taliz in Plane of Tranquility.

There are seven types of tools. They can be cycled through by combining them (no fail) in a JC kit. The tools are returned on success or failure. The different tools are:

    Solo Setting Tool
    Duo Setting Tool
    Trio Setting Tool
    Square Cutting Tool
    Round Cutting Tool
    Oval Cutting Tool
    Half-Moon Cutting Tool
    Trilion Cutting Tool
    Pear Cutting Tool
    Marquise Cutting Tool

You will also need to craft a Jewelers Glass:

    Jewelers Glass – 20 trivial
-Jewelers Glass Lens – 50 trivial
    - - Glass Disk – 30 trivial
    - - - Fine Sand
    - - - Gnomish Heating Source
    - - Grinding Powder (3) – two returned on every combine
-Jewelers Glass Cup – 20 trivial
    - -Silver Bar
    - -Gnomish Heating Source

The first thing you'll need is obviously the settings. The Solo settings each have one type 11 aug slot. The Duo settings each have one type 11 and one type 10 aug slots. The Trio settings each have one type 11 and two type 10 aug slots. Each setting has a mold associated with it (Ring Mold, Earring Mold, etc.) that is returned on success or failure. Here is a list of the settings in order of type and trivial:

    Dwerium Solo Ring - 279
    Dwerium Solo Earring - 282
    Dwerium Solo Bracelet - 294
    Dwerium Solo Veil - 296
    Dwerium Solo Pendant - 308

    Dwerium Duo Veil - 286
    Dwerium Duo Bracelet - 288
    Dwerium Duo Pendant - 303
    Dwerium Duo Ring - 311
    Dwerium Duo - Earring - 319

    Dwerium Trio Pendant - 291
    Dwerium Trio Ring - 300
    Dwerium Trio Earring - 306
    Dwerium Trio Bracelet - 316
    Dwerium Trio Veil - 322

Once you have the setting, you place gems of various cut in them. The type 10/11 augs are from store-bought gems (Crafted: Common). The store-bought augs with effects are type 11 only. Droppable uncut gems and raw nihilite are used to created the type 11 augs (Crafted: Group) with high stats/saves/hp. The effect/uncut/nihilite augs also require a Jewlers Glass in the combine which is returned on success or failure.

Here is a list of the cut/gem, the trivial, and the stats they provide. I'll start with store-bought gems, broken down by trivial:

    Round Cut Malachite - 60 trivial ; SvPoison +14

Round Cut Lapis Lazuli - 64 trivial ; SvDisease +14

    Round Cut Turquoise - 68 trivial ; SvCold +14

    Round Cut Hematite - 72 trivial ; SvFire +14

    Round Cut Cat's Eye Agate - 75 trivial ; SvMagic +14

    Round Cut Onyx - 79 trivial ; Dexterity +12

    Round Cut Jasper - 83 trivial ; Agility +12

    Round Cut Carnelian - 87 trivial ; Strength +12

Round Cut Star Rose Quartz - 91 trivial ; Charisma +12

    Round Cut Wolf's Eye Agate - 95 trivial ; Wisdom +12

    Round Cut Jade - 98 trivial ; Intelligence +12

    Small Shaped Pearl - 102 trivial ; Stamina +12

    Round Cut Peridot - 106 trivial ; AC +10 (recommended level 40)

    Round Cut Emerald - 110 trivial ; Mana +100, Endurance +100 (recommended level40)

    Round Cut Opal - 114 trivial ; HP +100 (recommended level 40)

These require Small Gem Glue Solvent to remove.

Trilion Cut Bloodstone – 174 ; Heat Sight

    Trillion Cut Amber – 178 ; Ultravision

Trilion Cut Topaz ; Shadow Sight

Oval Cut Fire Opal – 186 ; Enduring Breath

Pear Cut Star Ruby – 188 ; Faerune

Oval Cut Fire Emerald – 192 ; Damage Shield +13

    Trilion Cut Sapphire – 196 ; HP Regen +7

    Square Cut Ruby – 200 ; Mana Regen +7

These require Large Gem Glue Solvent to remove.

Now for droppable uncut gems (type 11):

These have a recommended level of 60.

    Oval Cut Demantoid – 218 trivial ; Strength +22, Stamina +22, Charisma +22

    Trilion Cut Amethyst – 234 trivial ; SvFire +17, SvCold +17, SvMagic +17

    Marquise Cut Alexandrite – 235 trivial ; Strength +22, Stamina +22, Intelligence +22

    Half Moon Cut Goshenite – 252trivial ; Strength +22, Stamina +22, Wisdom +22

    Trilion Combine Star – 267 trivial ; SvDisease +17, SvMagic +17, SvPoison +17

    Round Cut Morganite – 270 trivial ; Strength +22, Stamina +22, Agility +22

    Round Cut Jacinth – 287 trivial ; Strength +22, Dexterity +22, Stamina +22

Square Cut Black Sapphire – 300 trivial ; all saves +14

Pear Cut Rubellite – 304 trivial ; all stats +12

These require Large Gem Glue Solvent to remove.

Now the Raw Nihilite. To craft the gems, you must first have completed the Abysmal Sea Jewelcraft test. If you have, combine just the raw nihilite in a JC bag to return the finished version. You will receive 1-3 finished gems depending on how much you have done that combine. Once you have the finished version, you can craft the augs:

These have a recommended level of 65.

    Marquise Cut Crimson Nihilite – 234 trivial ; AC +10, HP +375

    Marquise Cut Indigo Nihilite – 259 trivial ; AC +10, Mana +375

    Marquise Cut Amber Nihilite – 284 trivial ; AC +10, Endurance +375

    Trilion Cut Shimmering Nihilite – 310 trivial ; AC +10, HP/Mana/Endurance +250

These require Large Gem Glue Solvent to remove.

The final set of gems are the rarer dropped ones, Staurolite, Prestidigitase, Harmonagate and Taaffeite. Each of these can be cut in any of the seven variations, each one only changing stats. All of the cuts of a particular gem have the same ac, hp/mp/end and saves. I will list the generic stats with each gem, then the cut stats with each cut.

    Staurolite - AC +12, HP/MP/END +100, SvDisease/Magic +14 (recommended level 55)

    Square Cut Staurolite – 279 trivial ; STR +14,

Why would the duo trivals in some cases be higher than the trio trivals?

Not sure. But I did all the combines, so the trivials are what showed up on my JC kit. You'll also notice that there's no rhyme or reason to the order of the type of piece across the settings.

I seem to be missing the store bought gems to cut for wisdom +12

Nice catch; looks like the author missed a gem. It's a Wolf's Eye Agate you'll need for WIS +12.

              Same stats?

Yes. Initially, they had 3 stats at the same level and 1 stat that was only +8. With the revamp to JC, all the stats were increased to the same amount.

                Old:
                Pear Cut Taaffeite – 423 trivial ; STA/CHA/WIS +23, INT + 8
                ..
                Round Cut Taaffeite – 428 trivial ; STA/CHA/INT +23, WIS + 8

Would have looked something like that. Not positive on which stats were higher or lower.

                  Thanks,

Another question. When does it actually attune? I want to make some pieces for an alt. Do I make the setting and cut the gem, then give the pieces to the alt for insertion using the birdbath? Does it attune then? Or when first worn?

I believe the ring attunes when you equip it and the aug attunes when it is placed in the item. My suggestion is just give the parts to your alt and let him insert them with the birdbath and you don't have to worry about it.

Unless I'm bugged, the jewelry doesn't attune at all. The augs do when they are inserted, but I was able to put on the settings pre-aug, and they didn't warn me, nor did they become no trade.

I have NOT removed the augs to see if they remain no trade afterwards, though I don't imagine they would (based on other tradable gear.)

This was on The Nameless server last week, by the way.

That is possible. I know typically when you put an augment in an item, it becomes attuned to you. I have not made much of this jewelry and the pieces I have made were for others to wear and I just gave them the parts.

The act of placing an attunable augmentation into an attunable base piece alone does not attune either one.

If either is attuned beforehand, however, the combo will also be attuned and in the case of the base piece being the attuned part, will also attune the augmentation. Of course if only one of the parts is attunable, the combo will be NO DROP once attuned but the non-attunable part will be tradable again once seperated from the combo (assuming it was tradable alone).

I believe it was also demonstrated that where attunable items are stackable, dropping the item into a stack causes it to take on the tag of the preexisting stack. An attuned item dropped into a tradable stack loses its NO DROP tag and tradable items dropped into an attuned stack become NO DROP.

False. Augments are attuned when you place them in an item. Regular items are attuned when you equip them.
If either is attuned beforehand, however, the combo will also be attuned and in the case of the base piece being the attuned part, will also attune the augmentation.
Putting an augment in an unattuned base piece will not attune the base piece regardless of the attuned status of the augment before you inserted it.
Of course, for the jewelry, the base items are not attuneable, so that doesn't really matter.

I went back and checked attuning my cultural augs in cultural armor. Placing an unattuned aumentation into an unattuned base piece attunes the aug but not the base piece. There is no requester asking you intend to do this so I didnt realize it was happening until I equipped the armor.
