Yeah, the "random" number generator that eq uses for skill ups isn't very random. I've done over 200 combines without 1 skill up 150+ and other times it's been like 5-6 150+. All I can say is keep pressing the combine button and have your int or wis maxed!

I just skilled up an alt to 240 JC cos I got so fed up banging my head against a wall at 200 smithing with my main. Just can't get 201.

Just have to keep on (and on).

Heh, it is 195 in tailoring for me right now. Over 100 combines and no skill up. /sigh

I have that exact same problem but my skill is at 186 in tayloring and it is really annoying me. I didn't strike it at all with jewelry

I hit a few hell levels this morning in JC.
183 took 88 combines.
188 took 65 combines.
191 took 71 combines.

255 wisdom and geerlok and I still had 2,500pp worth of failures going from 180-200.

I'm currently experiencing the 223 problem myself. I've done about 150 combines at 223 and I just can't seem to get to 224. I quit for the night last night and I hope the RNG will be nicer to me tonight.

The funny thing is that prior to that, my skill ups were happening pretty fast. When I was on Lapis Lazuli and Enchanted Platinum, I got a skill up about every 35 combines, and when I was in the later numbers with Malachite I had a couple of times where I got a skill up, did only a couple more combines, and got another right away.

So I'm crossing my fingers luck is on my side when I get home from work tonight and get my chance to JC again. I really want to get 250.

I never had that much problem with it... I may have gone 80 or so combines before I got a skill up, but it was never over 100. I went rom a skill of 30 to 250 in less then a week, I was never stuck for very long.

Don't Use your Geerlok Device!!!

Just a note....If you are trying to Skill up and close to your Trivial....Take off the Geerlok Device as it gives you a Virtual Skill...

191 w/ 5% Geerlok = about 200
192 w/ 5% Geerlok = about 201

Just a thought...
