I need something cheap and ez to make to get to around 300. the higher the better i tryed black sapphire palladium but didnt work. any ideas?

#1) Don't use Palladium on anything but the new recipies... the new jewelcraft stuff is flat-out awesome.

Question....

what do you combine to cut the uncut black sapphs and rubellite, harmonagate, prestidigitase, and taaffeite stuff? i was wanting to look into doing that but im not sure what your talking about with doing that as ive never really heard of it. could you post a recipe with items and such listed and the result you get for it? would be much appreciated. also, i know most of the gems listed earlier in the post can be gotten in the baz or off mobs, anything else in the recipe can you say where to get it if its not too much? I've been trying to get a decent thing to get my trophy maxed and its driving me crazy (without losing tons of plat). lol.

You use shaped cutting tool and for most of them jeweler glass. Staurolite, harmonagate, prestidigitase, and taaffeite all can be cut in 7 different ways. A few gems like fire emerald can be cut in a few and most store bought gems and just about all "uncut" line can only be cut one way.

You can find square cutting tool on many JC vendors. To get other shapes, combine the tool by itself in any JC bags to get other shape in this order: square - round - oval - half moon - trillion - pear - marquise - solo - duo - trio then back to square. The last 3 tools are new for making set jc's

Update trivial JC List

Gem Studded Chain is showing on site as 335 trivial .. not so

Gem Studded Chain as of 11/21/07 is now trivial at 250.

So far that is the only one I ran into that is wrong on site triv list.

Huh, I'd have thought that would have been updated by now. I guess it wasn't submitted, or else we didn't get to it yet. Either way, I fixed the trivial on the Gem Studded Chains.

Unapuma....i was able to figure out how to do the cuts...what do i use the gems for...what can they be combined with now?...i would like to be able to use them if possible...ive made the old jewelry and the new jewelry...i tried to combine with old...it wont...dont wanna try to put into new cuz i will get stuck with it (attuneable and it doesnt tell u) so if its that let me know....thanks

Silver, Electrum, Gold, Platinum, Palladium and Dwerium ...
Rings, Earrings, Veils, Pendants, and Bracelets

But, yes, the new augments become attunable when inserted into the new jewelry.

can't insert

I'm trying to make hubby an earing. I have a trilion mount velium earing, and a number of stones. I am trying to put a trilion cut sapphire as the center stone, but when I put the mount and stone in the aug pool (in abysmal sea) I don't get a combine button. How do I insert the stones into the earing?


Bah! found out the problem. Can't use Trilion mount earing - that's old style. Please remove all the old molds from JC vendors! They are very confusing as they match the new cut styles. I wasn't able to find the right molds in Abysmal Sea.
