    New Jewlelcraft Stone Stats

    When set in a Platinum Trio Ring I got the following stats. Better metals should give better stats

    Round cut stones (slot 10 or 11)
    opal - 40 HP
    emerald - 40 mana 40 endurance
    carnelian - 4 STR
    agate - 5 magic resist
    jasper - 4 AGI
    jade - 4 INT
    onyx - 4 DEX
    pearl - 4 STA
    malachite - 5 poison resist
    Lapis Lazuli - 5 disease resist
    peridot - 4 AC
    star rose quartz - 4 CHA
    turquoise - 5 cold resist
    wolf's eye agate - 4 WIS

    Aquamarine did not seem to work and I got a DNC from any attempt to cut it.

    All of the following stones were slot 11 only

    Trillon cut stones
    bloodstone - Heat Sight (infravision)
    amber - Ultravision
    topaz - Shadow Sight (night vision + see invis)
    sapphire - 4 HP regen

    Oval cut stones
    fire opal - Enduring Breath
    fire emerald - 5 damage shield

    Pear cut stones
    star ruby - Faerune

    Square cut stones
    Ruby - 4 Mana regen

    I could not put two of the same stone in a trio ring so I doubt they would go into a duo ring either.

    The rings are not lore and have no recommended or required level for platinum.

    I made some nice twink caster rings for my chanter. 4 mana regen, 40 mana and 4 INT. All trivials were 200 or less so not tough to make at all.

    The bad thing about the new jewelry is it doesn't show stats unless equiped, much like charms. Links also do not show stats so selling this stuff will take some effort but it should be a nice money maker if you try.

    EDIT - Some more slot 11 stones

    pear cut rubellite - +4 to all stats
    trillon cut combine star - +6 to magic, poison and disease resists
    marquise cut alexandrite - +8 to STR, STA, INT
    half moon cut goshenite - +8 to STR, STA, WI
    oval cut demantoid - +8 STR, STA, CHA

    P.S. I just noticed that the platinum jewelry does not have a Type 7 aug slot. This is perfectly fine to me with the customability and power of these items but it might be a surprise to someone buying it.

    In a Palladium trio Ring the opal gives 76hp. I did a trillion cut prestidigitase and I got 114HP/End/Mana, 10AC, 12 STR/WIS/SV Fire/Cold. Still no required/recommended level on it.

    In the same ring:
    Marquise Cut Alexandrite, Slot 11, 16 STR/STA/WIS

    raw indigo nihilite didnt combine with any cutting tool, neither did raw shimmering nihilite. Same after refining the raw shimmering nihilite. No clue if there is a way to refine the raw indigo nihilite, nor if I have to refine it.

      Have you tried combining the raw in a JC kit (might require the reinforced, or at least used to). I know the Raw Shimmering Nihilite will convert into Shimmering Nihilite (or at least used to) the same way.

        I have tried to refine the Raw Amber Nihilite both by giving it to the chick in Abysmal Sea (she returned it unrefined) and by doing her quest (I'm a slacker)and trying to do it myself in both a regular and a Reinforced Jeweler's Kit.

        No go with any of it.

        I was able to refine a Raw Shimmering Nihilite after doing her quest so I am flagged for refining.

        Still looking for the recipe but I'm running out of ideas.

          hrm. the manual combine should work.

          I did miss making the chick convert it and will have to look into that.

            Demantoid mounted in palladium: +16 STR, STA, CHA
            Indigo Nihilite mounted in palladium: +7 AC, +258 Mana (!!!)

              Tried it again, still no go.

              One Raw Amber Nihilite in a Reinforced Jeweler's Kit gives me the "You cannot combine these items in this container type"

              Same response in a Planar Jewelry Kit.

              Last time combines were tried in Crescent Reach, this time in PoK.

                The exact text of the in-game book says:

                "Finally, for all the gems you might find out in the world, you will need to cut them in specific ways. Amethyst, Combine star and shimmering nihilite will need a trillion cut. Black sapphire will need a square cut. Alexandrite, crimson nihilite, indigo nihilite and amber nihilite will need a marquise cut. Goshenite will need a half moon cut. Morganite and jacinth will require a round cut. Demantoid will require an oval cut. Rubellite will require a pear cut."

                P.S. The cuts for Staurolite and Prestidigitase seem to be working fine. I haven't tried the Taafetite yet myself since my skill is only 200.

                P.P.S. Will only the "Uncut Black Sapphire" and "Uncut Jacinth" work with the new recipies, and not the regular gems? Haven't tried the regular gems yet.

                      And I found the issue with the shimmering Nihilite.

                      There is a new shimmering Nihilite... and only that works.

                      I am making a "legacy" recipe for people with existing Shimmering Nihilite, but it will need a patch.

                      I am not sure what I am going to do with Pale Nihilite yet

                        I also had a Raw Indigo Nihilite. Combined it by itself in reinforced jewelry bag to get an Indigo Nihilite I could combine with cutting tool and jewelers glass.

                        FTW, convert all those raw gems to something useful.

                            raw amber nihiliter raw indigo nihilite

                            was wondering why raw amber nihilite wont refine in my bag i can refine the regular stuff but wont refine in my bag keeps sayin cant refine in this container type and its the reinforced bag any answers i did the quest to be able to refine but still wont let me

                              Question about the new uncut gems, sorry if this has already been talked about and I'm slow on the uptake.

                              I assumed every new uncut gem could be cut any way, is this not the case?

                              Uncut Combine Stars can only become a Trillion cut for example? I've gotten DNC on every other cut.

                              Uncut Demantoid would only cut Oval for me, Uncut Goshenite only work with half-moon, etc...

                              Can gems that are not named Uncut be used with any cut?
