  • If you are making gem studded chains for skillups, where do you sell them?

    I am on bert.

But in general, where do you make the chains and if you sell to merchants, what merchants?

I am working on tailoring and need the chains. I have found 100+ on vendors but need more if i can find them. The issue is where to look. I have tried the JC vendors but i suspect with gems stacking to 100 thats not where folks are... when they need to make room to make more chains.

Any advice would be appreciated. (the chains cost 250 to make but only cost 25 from merchants).

Try the smithing merchants near the fishpond and also the dwarves in the other building, I have found them there sometimes, since every chain takes a Worked Silver Chain.

And of course, sometimes any surplus chains may get sold to Tailoring merchants after the player is done with combines.

I would try the JC vendors as well. Normally they fill up quick but I have seen many there before.

I kept most of mine- but the few I did sell were near the fishing pond.
My reasoning- It's the closest forge to JC merchants :-)

JC vendors but their inventory clogs fast.

Any vendor near a forge. Usually that means smithing vendors but always check the closest vendor of water flasks as well.

Check those in PoK, Thurgadin and AS regularly.

Yep, there's a variety of other zones you could make gem studded chains- including some home towns, I'm pretty sure now that I think about it, could have been faster for water, metal bits in cabilis =p

Same on Drinal. I forgot about those merchants for a while, and was looking at the other smithing merchants and could never find them. I've purchased about 200 of them over time, and have them stored up for when I make my tailoring run (also have enough imbued emeralds for the run as well. Thanks Ngreth for changing the stack size to 100. Now if only the chains would stack, even to 5. . . )
