Thats the point of it all. Its supposed to be costly. Thats what jewlery is all about. You have all been spoiled with the 300pp per blue diamond, etc.. Remember the days of jewlery being the most expensive tradeskill? Welcome back..
If you didnt fail (alot) or liquids dropped like candy then the rings would be 5kpp each, and every other ring in the game would drop to 100p.. It would completely drestroy the econ. The quote "you get what you pay for" is certainly valid in this situation. When the rings are sold for 20-30kpp, they are worth the price and they will never drop in value as long as liquids stay rare and combines fail alot. And thats a good thing for those that buy (resale value), and good for us (no flooded market).
An example of what happends with a flood... Planes of Power.. Everyone one and there brother got a ton of BD's on the planar armor turn ins. What happend? Blue Diamond 1500p, dropped to 300p in a day. And the jewlery makers fell out of bed and didnt know what hit them.
Rings with those kinds of stats, expect a TON of fails.
Also, they want to give enchanters an edge on jewlery. The fact is, all the mega jewlery items now dont even require enchanted ore, and if they do, you can buy them in the bazaar. Enchanters get that jewlery AA for a reason, so when they make jewlery items that are at a 250 skill (280-300) enchanters will have the edge. Also, they want enchanters to spend those points on that skill, and i expect it only to get worse with the new expansion.
