    Hi. I just recently got my 300th skill in JC and procedeed to fail 5 augment cuts. I found this highly unsuaul since after about 293 skill I was having some great luck cutting augs. I was wondering if this is normal?

    I had infussion of the faithful running so maxxed stats and a lvl 5 gm trophy so i was at modded skill of 324 and Kinda not wanting to cut anymore augs now any info would be great

    Augment cutting has around a 75% success cap. 5 failures in a row is just bad luck.

      I am likewise concerned.

      Before my 7/7 evolve I was in the 74% range for 1208 attempts with the 315 skill.

      Since I got the 345 skill I am a 61.54% on 52 attempts.

      Yes, it IS a smaller sample but would that exclude possible "broken-ness"?

        It happens. I failed 3x in a row a mid-100s combine with a 336 skill. My fail rate for those should be roughly 1% chance each yet it still happened. Anytime people have a bad run people just seem to assume it's broken. The reality is though, it's just bad luck. For every person who has bad luck you could probably find someone who's had stupidly good luck. The only difference is people don't seem to post their good luck runs.

          Don't want to jinx ourselves.

          Ok, I'll tempt it...I recently received a windfall 20 MDS so I thought I would make a whole suit of plate. 1st BP attempt - failed, but I salvaged all 3 sheets. 2nd attempt - failed, but I salvaged 2 sheets. 3rd attempt - success. Small sample but imagine if it had been the other way around - almost half of my stock for one piece.

            Back when 250+5% was max this happened to me with radiant cuts right after I got JCM3 - failed first 7 cuts out of 8 in a row. Appeared that mastery 3 actually lowered my chance of a skillup, but was just a bad run.

            Just chalk it up to the RNG Gods hating you.
