My chanter is level 66, Int of 285. He does have his trophy making him to get to JC up to 315. How should I skill up. Gem Studded Chain? I have made a bunch without one skill up? Is this normal, just grind grind grind?

First of all, skill stops at 300, the 15 points you can get is from trophy/geerlok.
What is your curent skill?

300 is the limit unless they decide to increase the max skill again but it seems that occures every 2-3 years or so. Since we just had a max skill increase I would not expect another one for a long time.
You have finished JC. Please stop pouring PP down the drain trying to raise it.
