This was done with a 255 Wis using the cheapest skillup purchasable route. Mostly Blue and Light Blue recipes other than when I jumped to Gold Malachite. Starting at 68 (since I did not log the whole thing) – which dinged on a success, listed below is skill then the number of combines to get the next skill:

This is when I went home (had not yet skilled to 185). Will have to add the log from there when I can. I think I also have a Fletching log from 54 I will add to the Fletching section. I know Maddoc said that success/failure had no effect on skilling up, so I left that information out.

114 skillups (documented) in 1668 attempts (this does not include the 6 from 106 to 107 as I had not dinged yet…nor does it include the 91 from 184 to 185 for the same reason…but the next post from home should include that information) for an average of 1 skillup in 14.63 attempts.

This is scary data. Under the old formula (assuming your trivial steps were 74, 76, 79, 82, 84, 87, 90, 92, 95, 98, 100, 106, 108, 111, 114, 116, 119, 124, 127, 130, 132, 135, 146, 148, 151, 154, 156, 159, 162, 164, 167, 170, 172, 178, 180, 183, 186) you would expect a total (ignoring the points you don't have data for) of 556ish combines. You had 1684 combines.

Tell me this was before the "fix under 150"-patch, please.

I've plotted your actual results versus the expected results from the old formula. It seems WAY outta whack to me. /shrug
