  • Palladium

From what I have heard, the next step up from Velium will be Palladium, and it will combine with the same gems as the previous metals and will have increased stats, and possibly a different slot.

Question is though..... where do I get the Palladium? From what I have heard its droppable only, so there isn't a mechant thats going to sell it.

      Scale Ore

I found Scale ore. Dropped in stilloon temple off trash mob i believe. I may be wrong i did alot of killing in alot of zones in last 3 days. Ill double check and come back and post what im 100% sure of. but as for now im saying im 75% sure its a dropped item off regular DoN mobs.

Scale Ore is dropped and foraged in the new zones, beginning with Broodlands. If found on a vendor it should be relatively inexpensive. Buy back from vendors for items made with Prismatic Palladium is low as well, so don't expect this to be a cash cow. The stats on many pieces of jewelry are, however, very decent.

The devs do deserve a pat on the back for not requiring the Palladium to be enchanted before it makes stat jewelry.

The scale ore seems to be a semi-rare to very-rare forage, however, so I'm guessing they'll sell pretty well once people figure out what theyre for.

                SoE hates us... lol

My druid with 200 forage spent about 4 hours at the entrance to Broodlands foraging and got 2 pieces of Scale Ore.

Part of the problem is there are at least 25 things on the forage list including the usual suspects. In fact, in one stretch I got 5 straight pods of water.

So I switch to my chanter and make two Prismatic Palladium Bars and using a black sapphire I happened to have made a very nice Black Sapphire Palladium Earring...which the vendor kindly offered to buy for 9 silver, 5 copper.

Oh, and something that doesn't work, pale nihilite won't combine with palladium in either the reinforced or planar jewelers kit.

Made most of the possible stuff withthis now .. and people have submited to databse already....
to stop others from doing so though....
it doesnt combine with Geodes, Pale Nihilite or Shimmering Nihilite in any jewellery kits.

Basically other recipes are exactly the same as if using a bar of any metal + gem - hit combine

                    Careful

Careful,if you thought you could make an uber augmentation.

palladium has a couple of items listed as augmentations. LIke the black sapphire earring... they are, in fact, earrings, not augmentations.
