  • Can't use Reinforced Jewelcraft Container

I'm getting an error message now whenever I open my 6-slot reinforced jewelcraft container (from the Abysmal Sea quest). It says my race cannot use this tradeskill container. (I'm a human cleric of Innoruuk). Is this a bug or what?

      A) That's a bad link
      B) I don't know for certain whether this is patch related.
      C) {personal attack removed. ~ Maev}

My wife's Barbarian shaman gets the same message.

Interestingly, my Troll gets the same message. But my level 1 trader mule (high elf) does not.

I think this is a bug. We have any clout to get an answer on this?

I've tried 8 races and turning the pack into a token and back again. Nothing works. I was mistaken about my HE trader. He gets the message too, I just missed it.

There is a thread titled something about "problems after the patch", it says that a very similar thing has been brought to the attention of the developers and they are working on it.

Lots and lots of things seem to be very buggy right now. My husband and I are having difficulty even playing the game. I'm betting we have more patches in the very near future

Thanks. I did see that link above, but didn't associate the patch with my problem (apprantly like the original poster) when I took a look at it. Looking at ALL the pages of that post, I see it is. I had just bought GoD, so I assumed it was not a "new" thing.

Thanks a bunch for the info.

aren't we required to have 2+ patches after a big patch to fix the big patch? :P

only if the first of the 2 patches to fix the patch fall within the first 48 hours.. if not, then you're required a patch to fix the first patch, then 2 to fix the second patch (the one to fix the patch).

                    but only on tuesday.

I am getting the same with my Gnome Enchanter. I raised hell in PoK for a few minutes until another Jeweler gave me a /tell and said the Planar Kit still worked for everything else but the GoD weapon sombines.... I ended up buying a Colapsable Jewelers Kit and am back to work.

Its a bug in the patch I suppose, they will probably fix it soon.

2 patches now, still no fix.

Ahh, but the error message has changed. Now it says the reinforced jeweler's bag is "not used for tradeskills". So someone has noticed.

This the EQ equivalent to the sign "Broken Water Main - Road Closed"?

For me it still says "Your race cannot do tradeskills in this container." I haven't actually tried making combines in it though, so it might just be that it's a bug with the tradeskill interface, that it's not letting you bring it up, but maybe it's useable in the old fashioned way. There is still a combine button.
