Shaman JC or Enchanter

Hi there is JC main a Chanter skill. I am a Shaman and would like to up my JC so that i can cut the new augs and etch them as well. Is it Possible for a Shaman to take JC up to 350. I have a 53 chanter on the acct as well. i was just wonderin if i can be able to get shaman high enough to cut the new augs or should i stop wastin the plat on shaman who is 188 now or start with the chanter

The maximum you can take any character to in JC is 250. (A geerlok gem setter will temporarily boost your skill to 252, which is a kind of virtual skill cap)

The advantage your chanter will have over the shaman is that you can spend aa points in Jewelcraft Mastery, which will increase your success rate. Shaman is stuck with plain old 252.

KK thanks so my 53 chanter is my best bet to get to the 350's if i want to be able to cut the new augs. Next question do i have to get my chanter higher then 53 or can i keep the chanter at that lvl get the required AA's for JCM and start JC

While I don't have a 'chanter, I'm pretty sure that JCM is a class AA, and as such you need to be 59 to train it.

Just to reiterate.... you can't take your skill over 250 Not gonna happen. Nu uh
