Enchanting metal - profit or loss?

Just as someone who doesn't have a chanter YET (coming SOON*) I wish some enterprising chanters would take say 1 day a month even and enchant say 2 stacks of each metal type along with the stuff for pottery and sell it in the bazaar. I am SOO tired of trying to find a chanter who is willing to do this during their normal XP time. It's why I'm making a chanter.. hard to do higher pottery without enchanted XXXX.

At different times I've tried throwing some enchanted metals and clay and different mana vials on my trader, but they are very slow sellers and sell for such a small profit I find it not worth it. If I receive requests I sell them, and I sell them to /buyers. I agree that the supply is not available (this is why I have an enchanter too) but there's a reason it isn't available without requesting it.

Interesting question. All jewelry sells back for a loss (and if you find one that doesn't, it's a bug.) Enchanted jewelry sells back for less of a loss.

So on the one hand, you can spend the time to enchant the stuff, and then take less of a financial hit, but on the other, it takes a lot more time. I guess it really depends on which is more valuable to you, time or money.

I think I had a psychotic moment there. Enchant Velium was for Smithing, doh. But yes, I plan to use diamonds and blue diamonds with platinum until I can no longer skill up for jewelry. By far the most cost effective method.
