Did the chains twice for a hardcore tradeskiller in the guild, results as follows:

Gem Studded Chain - 120/127 & 159/167

27/30 1st
29/30 2nd
20/20 3rd
29/30 4th
20/20 5th
27/30 6th
7/7 7th

This data for the second number, didn't keep data for the first number.

Overall percentage rate is 94.4% on the first and 95.2% on the second.

250 jeweler, 5% modifier, and Jewelcraft Mastery III.

To add to my previous post, I am 68/72 on the valorium rings.

My success rates have been approximately:
JCM 0: 50%
JCM 1: 70-75%
JCM 2: 90-95%

I don't have JC3 and no plans to get it, but from what is posted above you don't get much benefit out of the additional 9 points. Think I'll just stick those into something else.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I haven't had to make any chains until just now.

250 skill + trophy + JCM1

17/17 today (I failed 3 silver chains out of a stack - go figure)
EDIT Went 46/60 today - so overall results are 63/77 which is 82%.
Others have reported 97%ish success with JCM2 and 3.
and around 69/70 on non-trivial PoP JC combines with JCM1

This is one enchanter wishing she didn't need to be level 59 before getting JCM!
Of course by the time I do get to level 59, my druid will already be 250 tailoring

At 250 skill plus geerlok, I usually get about 50% success on the gem studded chains.

If your pre 15th rates didn't include any AA's, then it looks like your numbers were above average. I believe that most people experience slightly better than 50% on a good run without AA's.

Geerlok + Trophy = 5% only.

Nope, but there is a necklace with a +10% JC skill mod from the ring of fire event.

From December 2002-March 2003, I did 570 combines on a 250 JC mule with a 5% mod item. I had 287 successes, for an average success rate of 50.35%.
