Reinforced jewel kit quest in GoD ?

I tried to give in the quest my planar kit and it was not accepted .

Is that a bug or am I meant to have 2 kits , one planar and one GoD ?

Or does the reinforced GoD do the same function as the planar ?

You have to use a regular (non-planar, non-collapsible) Jeweler's Kit.

I figured that out for the quest .

But does the reinforced allow planar combines or have I to keep the planar kit on TOP of the reinforced ?

Btw when I failed teh quest (by giving the planar) , I lost both the steel wires and the turepta shell .
That's annoying to say the least - normally the NPC give everything back when they are given items that they can't take .

The reason they don't give back everything if they get something they can't use is that it would be a means to transfer NO DROP items between characters on non-FV servers. E.g., toon A gives the NPC some NO DROP highly-sought Quest Component of Uberness, then walks away. Toon B walks up and gives the NPC a Water Flask, which the NPC doesn't want, and the NPC gives toon B both the Water Flask and the theoretically NO DROP QCoU back, doing an end run around the NO DROP rule. Thus, all you ever get back is the piece the NPC didn't want. Note that this same logic is what currently allows people to multiquest (i.e., toon A gives NPC NO DROP quest piece 1, then toon B gives NPC quest piece 2 to claim the quest reward, provided both A and B have sufficient faction).

Regarding your question as to whether the Reinforced Jeweler's Kit supercedes the Planar Jeweler's Kit or Collapsible Jeweler's Kit, I can't help you with that one.

I haven't really checked, I keep the reinforced new kit in the bank and only use it for GoD combines. For other combines I still have a collapsed kit.
