• How pricey est to do JC:

Ok, I'm thinking I'm going to GM jewelcraft. I'd like to know assuming best price, and nothing enchanted, everything sold back to the vendor, from 0-250 (or at least 243 for geerlok) I'd like estimates of the following:
Wisdom @150
@200
@255

I'm already a GM smith so I can generate funds readily, so I'd just like to know a number to set aside for this.

One estimate

Well, I went from 0 to 240 with 220 int for less than 7k without enchanting anything but with a geerlok. Got my eyeglass yesterday too. Sorry I didn't keep track of the exact costs.

Depending on your CHA and faction with the vendor you are skilling at:

1,000pp to 2,000pp to get to skill 200 while NOT enchanting the used bars
7,000pp to 20,000pp to get to skill 250 while NOT enchanting the used bars

500pp to 1,000pp to get to skill 200 while enchanting the used bars
3,000pp (loss) to 3,000pp (profit!!) to get to skill 250 while enchanting the used bars

Amateur Potter ( 188 )
Amateur Smith ( 175 )
Amateur Tailor ( 146 )
Amateur Baker ( 142 )

I found my experience to be more like Mystic's; I did not, however, track the exact cost. I had INT of 265 (which I assume to be ~ WIS @ 255) and enough CHA to get the best price. I sat in the JC shop in Shadowhaven and power-skilled (that is, no enchanting). I tend to be superstitious, so I logged off/on whenever I went about 40 combines without skilling up. All said and done, I ran from 190-250 in about 3 days (maybe 5-6 hours?) for around 4-5k.

I know this doesn't answer your question exactly, but I would set aside 10k to make the run to 250 without enchanting (@ 255 Wis).

Oh, and if you do this, please log it! Don't be a dodo like me...

(As I explained on the old forum, I recall starting this session with ~12k in the bank. I hit 250, then made two attempts on the GM trophy, having most of the parts already for the first try. I failed on the stupid seal, then had to buy the parts for the 2nd, successful, attempt. I finished with about 3.5k in the bank.)

On average without enchanting and with maxed wis/int should be around 4K-5K , with average luck. with enchanting can make a profit.

It cost me 13K to get my lev 44 enchanter from 200 to 250 JC with 243 INT and enough charisma to get best price. I did not enchant the bars.

<~~ warrior, so no enchanting hehe

Total cost for me from 0 - 250 was 9,521pp. 160cha, ally in thurgadin, and 246 wisdom.

Of course just my luck to fail on jeweler's eyeglass the first two times.
