  • Is JC skill limited to character level?

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I have looked all over this website and haven't found the answer, even in the FAQ. I know alchemy is capped according to the character's level. Is the same true of jewelcrafting? I am a level 25 enchanter. At what level could I grandmaster JC, given time/money/effort?

    Thank you for your guidance,

    Silenci

Got a 25 chanter with a 235 JC skill - none of the tradeskills which can be done by everyone (ie/not alchemy, poison and tinkering) have a level cap - as mentioned above, you can get a 250 skill with a level 1 toon.

What you really need to take into consideration is how much plat you want to burn - when I was enchanting every bar I combined, I was actually a few hundred plat in the black from working on JC. Once I trivialed gold though and couldn't chant my platinum, I descided to drive on ahead anyway - cost me several grand going from the mid 200-teens to 235.

        *grin*

But you need 59 and 18 AA (and another 18 in general archtype, so 36) to get JC mastery III if working with stuff that is not trivial and having "high" failure rate, this is kinda a must on the long run if you can have :P Yet you can live without, will just fail much more if not trivial :P

Not to mention you may want to have higher intel then 255...:P

But no level limit on the JC skill in itself
