Question about the JC trophy.

Well i just hit 250 skill yesterday, and decided to make my trophy today, wich i´m happy to say i made on my first try =D
My question is very simple, if i have my trophy equiped on my ammo slot, will the % to JC take effect? Since no other stats from items equiped on ammo make effect when equiped i got me wondering that. Thanks for any info.

The skill modifier doesn't seem to apply when equipped in the ammo slot. I haven't done a large run of combines with and without to test, but to be sure of getting the +% to your Jewelcraft skill, simply equip the item in your primary slot.

The only way I can think of to know for sure is to have someone from 210-219 skill with a GM Smithing hammer, Tailoring Needle, or brewers corker try making their corresponding ethereal item (rings, swatches, temper/curing agent) while their trophy is in range slot.
