Do skill bonuses effect trivial checking?
Today I made the level 56 shaman spell Acumen and I did not get the trivial message at 195 research. Since this site lists the trivial as >180 I was going to post an update in the trivial listing thread, but I wanted to make sure of something before I posted...
Does the fact that I was using a geerlok quill (+5%) affect this in any way? My effective skill was probably around 204. I'm guessing that it doesn't matter, because if it did then using a geerlok could prevent me from getting a skill gain if my adjusted skill was greater than the trivial.
Can anyone confirm this?
