Finally made my GM Tinker's Spanner, and it has set me to wondering: Do you only get the +5% to the given tradeskill if you have the trophy eqiupped in the primary slot, or does the bonus apply if you have it in range (or secondary)? It seems natural to assume that you would get the bonus if it's in the range slot, since you get all the other stat bonuses (Int/wis/cha) there. (For the same reason, I would assume you do not get the bonus if it's in the ammo slot -- I presume the only thing you can do with it there is summon bags.)
The reason I ask is that with current gear, if I don't have KEI or another int buff, I can't quite max out my INT unelss I have my epic equipped in my primary slot, and if I'm attempting a 250+ trivial item, I want the best chance for success and skill increase. So if anyone happens to know for sure...thanks.
