  • Collapsible items question.....

Just a quick question about collapsible sewing kits, jewelry kits, etc. What's so great about them? Can you put them in other containers? Unlike the non collapsible couterparts that take up a bank slot........ Dumb question but I'm curious to know.....

    Thanks

What's so great about them is that in their collapsible form, they aren't containers and you can stick them inside a bag. So you don't end up with a gazillion tradeskill containers littering up your bank vault.

And some of them comes in handy if you need a quick container to hold things when you run out of the room. I usually summon up my 8 slot toolkit to hold things if I know I have to log soon and don't want to use my no rent bag from my trophy.

Not to mention you don't have to run to PoK to do PoP combines if the recipe size doesn't exceed "carried container" limits. I think I got em all and wish they had a mobile still and forge. lol It wouldn't be that far fetched. After all, there IS magic in this world right?

I belive there is a mobile 4 slot still. Of course it's part of the aid grimmel quest and you have to turn it in to keep going....but the thought of doing the quest up to that point for just the 4 slot brewery has crossed my mind....that is, if I ever start it in the first place.

But it's not collapsible! Also I don't know of any drink I would brew that is only 4 slots worth of ingredients except maybe sub-combines.

If I had the bank space to harbor a 4 slot still, well and the flags to get it, I might concider it myself but I don't. I hate key containers!

Well, there is always the Blackburrow Cask... with 8 slots although it isn't collapsible

Except, of course, that that container can only be used to make the quest item Blackburrow Swig. And you lose the container in the process.

Oh well, I guess I will stop wondering if I made a mistake in my "youth" when brewers asked for the cask and I would just give them the ones I had looted, thinking I could always brew back home (Qeynos) if I ever decided to take up brewing.

For some reason, the planar brew barrels always seem to be used when I need them. A portable, even 4 slot, would come in handy for when I need to make the few items that require a PoP barrel.

Unfortunately the 4 slot barrel Grimel gives you can't be used for planar combines, I've tried it before for combines that require a PoK brew barrel.
