Daiku Blood

I have looked high and low and maybe I am just being stupid. Daiku(sp) blood that drops off the ogres in Plane of Tactics is flagged as a tradeskill item. I have stacks of this stuff and can find no recipe that uses it.

I keep all tradeskill items on a mule for fellow guildies some of whom are tradeskill mad and was wondering what this blood is used for?

try making an imbue spell in the same way the other bloods are used... (just a guess)

Nope...not that as War Wraith blood is used for Imbue War, not Daiku blood....could it be, heaven forbid, that Sony have miss tagged this?

Yes, it could be...

Currently there is no known recipe that uses Daiku Blood.

It can, however be a component for a Quest Recipe. And maybe, that quest is yet to be figured out. Maybe nobody has yet figured out the right keywords to say to NPC So-And-So to get the initial chatter to start the quest.

Just a thought, and maybe some one on the board who speaks Japanese as a native language could comment or correct me, but I believe "Daiku" means "carpenter" or relates to carpentry. If this is used for an undiscovered recipe (as opposed to just mislabeled - how many other bloods have no use?), can anyone think of other drops that might have a connection?

Perhaps a person should try making a temper out of it, say with distilled or purified mana. Besides bows i dont think there are any player made pop weapons.

There was a developer or someone who said at one point that only a certain percentage of quests in the game have even been discovered. Id imagine that holds tru for tradeskills as well.

Why? Documentation.

Im going to hazard a guess that only 1% of all tradeskill recepies has been found purely by chance and experimentation. Everything else has had npcs give info when hailed, books bought from vendors ec... all have had some direct info given in game somewhere somehow.

By the way, the name of the item, the mobs, and all the things from them is "diaku", not "daiku". (Just so we don't go chasing a red herring.)

Just noticed this myself today. The only thing I can think of is that it's a holdover from the time when there was a Plane of Tactics as well as a Plane of War. Diaku blood could've been used to imbue tactics items, and war wraith blood for war imbues.

Dropping the Plane of War was fairly last minute, so it's not entirely impossible that this was one of those things that got missed. Like the PoWar zone in stone in Tranq.
