Always works ____

While on my travels through norrath, I've noticed there are different...um...things called "Always works" For example in the mines of Nurga, there is a pottery wheel called the "Always works pottery wheel"
Is this really what its name implies? Can you make a lvl 150 item at level 2 pottery in it? Or does it just make it much harder to fail? Always works could mean any number of things. I've also found a forge with this same name, though I've never experimented with them. What do they do?

The 'Always works' world containers are only for one or two specific quests. It won't work as the given tradeskill container for any other recipe, nor will any recipe but the quest that involves it 'always work'

It's basically just a hard to get to place to combine some quest peices that has a misleading name.
